Jaroslav Švelch

Jaroslav ŠvelchMgr. Jaroslav Švelch, Ph.D. je výzkumníkem a pedagogem na FSV UK. Vystudoval žurnalistiku (Bc.) a mediální studia (Mgr., Ph.D.) na FSV UK a dvouobor lingvistika a fonetika/překladatelství a tlumočnictví: angličtina (Mgr.) na FF UK. V letech 2007–2008 působil jako hostující výzkumník na oddělení Comparative Media Studies na Massachusetts Institute of Technology; v roce 2012 pobýval na doktorandské stáži v Microsoft Research New England. Mezi jeho akademické zájmy jsou sociální užití digitálních médií, historie počítačových her a jazykový management v online prostředí. V rámci výzkumné skupiny PolCoRe se věnuje zejména kvalitativním analýzám politické participace prostřednictvím humoru a remixu.
